Christina Turner - the Principal of Workplace Investigations

Christina is a highly experienced human resource management practitioner who has held senior executive HRM positions in large public and private sector organisations. These positions include
  • Chief Human Resources Officer (Global) and General Manager Human Resources - ABC Learning Centres Ltd
  • Executive General Manager Human Resources - QSuper Ltd
  • Director Human Resources and Marketing - Brisbane City Council
  • National Personnel Manager - Sportsgirl/Sportscraft
  • Manager Human Resources - Redland Shire Council
  • Personnel Manager - Myer Melbourne   

In addition to her human resource background, Christina has unique qualifications, credentials and experience in dispute resolution (and in particular workplace investigations) as follows: 

  • She has a Masters of Applied Law (Dispute Resolution) from the TC Beirne School of Law at the University of Queensland;
  • Her Masters thesis was on natural justice in workplace investigations;
  • She is an approved Queensland Supreme Court Mediator;
  • She developed and lectured in the Law Masters program subject "Investigations in the Workplace" at the University of Queensland;
  • She is licensed as a Private Investigator under the Security Providers Act of Queensland.

As a management consultant in this unique area, Christina has conducted over 450 workplace investigations for government agencies in a wide range of areas including workplace bullying and sexual harassment; she has also delivered over 350 training workshops in workplace investigation methods for a range of public and private sector organisations including for the Office of the Queensland Ombudsman.

Christina’s background in this specialist area includes:

 - being appointed an Official Visitor to Prisons by the Queensland Government

 - being appointed by an Inspector under the Corrective Services Act to conduct inquiries in     prisons;

 - being appointed as an Honorary Officer under the Family Services Act to undertake investigations and reviews.
